Intimate Insurer

Notify the insurer immediately after the accident via app, website, or toll-free number. For theft, file an FIR first and inform the insurer within 24 hours.

Garage & Survey

Take your vehicle to a cashless garage or an approved repair centre. A surveyor inspects the damage and prepares the loss assessment report within 24–48 hours.

Submit Documents

Provide claim form, RC copy, driving licence, FIR (if applicable), repair estimate, and photos of the damage. Documents can be uploaded digitally through the insurer's portal or app.

Settlement

For cashless claims, the insurer pays the garage directly. For reimbursement claims, payment is credited to your bank within 7 business days of document submission approval.

Third-party insurance is legally mandatory in India and covers damage or injury caused to a third party by your vehicle — but provides no protection for your own vehicle. Comprehensive insurance includes third-party coverage plus protection for your own vehicle against accidents, fire, theft, and natural disasters. For vehicles less than 5 years old, comprehensive is always the recommended choice.

IDV (Insured Declared Value) is the current market value of your vehicle after depreciation — it represents the maximum claim amount you can receive in case of total loss or theft. Higher IDV means a higher premium but better claim recovery. Reducing IDV to save on premium is a common mistake that leads to claim shortfall. Our advisors help you set the optimal IDV for your vehicle's age and condition.

Motor insurance must be renewed before the expiry date to avoid a lapse in coverage. Driving without valid insurance is a legal offence in India, attracting fines up to ₹4,000 and potential imprisonment. If your policy has lapsed, a fresh inspection of the vehicle may be required before renewal.
